In violet and purple bloomed the lilac,

Sea to the left; river ahead, and hills —
\nBehind; the blooming lilacs on the mounts
\nWeave from the gentle smell delightful clouds
\nAnd breathe the timeless redolence that heals.<\/p>\n

The lilac bloomed, and to my love I told:
