Anatoly Movshevich was born in 1955 in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Gorky Region. He is a philologist by education. A. Movshevich is the author of five books of poetry and prose, as well as two essays. One is about Goethe’s work, the other is about the problem of time in twentieth-century literature. Movshevich’s poetry and prose have been translated into Dutch and English.
